Kitten Training Tips
In this article, we hope to share with you the many aspects that this important subject has to offer. Deciding to get a pet and keeping it indoors will take a lot of responsibility. Chores such as feeding the animal or giving it a bath are just one of the few things the owner will have to do but there is more. Since these pets are not yet trained how to behave, the person will have to devote a lot of ti 00004000 me and effort to make this happen.
The best time to train animals especially if one decides to keep it indoors is when it is still young and having kittens in the house is no exception. The good news about raising a cat is that it is easier to teach and maintain, unlike dogs that may require some assistance in a school.
The first thing that a person needs to know before getting a cat is learning about its behaviors. In general, these animals are very affectionate and are well behaved. When one notices certain changes in the mood of the cat, there is usually something wrong that can be corrected once the cause has been determined.
Here are some tips that can help a person train a kitten at home;
1. Kittens need exercise. If this is not done in the form of toys for the animal to play with, it will become restless and could do damage to your home.
2. Since kittens are not yet toilet trained, it is best to start by teaching it what to do with a litter box. The litter box should be big enough for the pet to enter and move around in. By adding newspaper and perhaps carpet, the animal will soon learn where to release waste when it is time.
3. The claws of kittens are not that sharp yet compared to older cats. So that these creatures will not damage the furniture in the future, it is best to get a scratching pad and teaching it that this is the proper place to scratch.
Praising the kitten for doing a good job and feeding it as a reward will help in teaching the kitten how to behave inside the house. The owner should not shout or hit the kitten since this will make the animal fear the person and no amount of effort in teaching it will work after that experience.
Kittens are lovable animals and by spending some time daily with them and with a little patience, this will all pay off as one can finally see that the animal has been finally house trained. Having this information handy will help you a great deal the next time you find yourself in need of it.

QUESTION:
Kitten ,Feeding?
Ok. I have an approx. 2 weeks /2 weeks and a half year old kitten.
I try to feed him the special kitten milk formula, heated and i TRY to make it body temperature, and it's not too warm and not too cold, although it gets cold ,after time passes, while I try to feed her..
Do you have advices for me? She really seems to dislike the plastic nipple device on the milk bottle, and i've checked and I don't think it's too hard. She struggles and It's very VERY hard to feed her.. I've been trying for a while now but my mother seemed to be better.. She removes her mouth from it and struggles alot, Making it very hard to feed her..-
ANSWER:
aww, poor kitty. it sounds like the nipple is to big for her, or she cant latch on to it. when you do it do you hold her head and the bottle so she is can latch to it?? My only suggestion would be to see your vet, maybe he can suggest something easier for her. good luck.

QUESTION:
kitten feeding?
im getting a 4 month old kitten this weekend and was told to give it a pouch morning and evening and leave dry food out during the day. Is this okay? is it too much or too little?
I'm still confused! so many mixed views! could anyone tell me what i should definetly do??-
ANSWER:
If you are getting a kitten of this age, you should not be feeding any wet foods to her. This can cause decay in the teeth. By this time they are cutting in new teeth and will be chewing and do not require any wet foods (unless you are giving an occasional treat).
As long as the food you are giving her is based for kittens, she should be fine with just letting her free feed the dry food. Hope this helps, good luck.

QUESTION:
How to feed kitten, not able to drink milk from feeding bottle?
I got a kitten rejected by mother. It is neither drinking milk from a pot nor from a feeding bottle(Used for human). How could I feed it??.Please respond immediately?-
ANSWER:
Use a dropper to feed this kitten. Open its mouth then push the dropper inside. Your kitten will definitely swallow that milk. I fed my cat a really bad tested medicine when she was ill and stopped eating totally. I gave her vitamin capsules by this method, I am sure; it really works because she is absolutely perfect now. I also applied this on several kittens.
Give water mixed milk (1:1)as it is hard to diggest just milk for it.

QUESTION:
when can i start feeding kittens kitten food?
they were just born a few days ago but i wanna know ahead of time. how old do they have to be when i can start feeding them dry or wet kitten food? and whats the best kind?-
ANSWER:
Hi About:)Congratulations on your new litter! It is great that you are planning ahead for their future.
Kittens can be started on a good quality moist kitten food around 5 weeks-of-age. They need higher protein and fat content than adult cats. Moist food is a lot more nutritious for them as well. We always fed our kittens with Wellness Kitten food. They love it. It is grain free ( cats do not need grains as they are obligate carnivores and need meat, not carbs)

How can I stop my kitten feeding off her mother?
In April my cat had kittens, I decided to keep one. Now she's almost 4 months old and she still tries to feed off her mother. She eats normal cat food and everything. I have no idea how to stop her from doing it. Any help would be great.
my cat is spayed now, she had it done a few weeks ago. And the incision was on her side, not her stomach-
